Disability, according to the Social Security Administration or SSA, is defined as the inability to engage in any substantial gainful activity or SGA (thus, employment as an employee), since of physical or mental impairment(s) that is/are medically determinable. The impairment(s) can be expected to result in death or which has lasted or is expected to at the end for not less than a year. This SSA definition is used to determine the person’s eligibility to receive disability benefits.
