It happens every day. A person checks his or her letter only to find that he or she has been named a defendant and must appear in front of a judge in formal litigation. No affair what the basis for the pending litigation, receiving a subpoena to appear in court as a defendant is never fun, and in many cases, much if the condition is dismissed or if the judgment eventually sways the path of the defendant, simply having to appear can ruin the defendants’ lives.
