We will have to side with the irony of the at the end comment on this one. Among the sarcasm, though, there is a shade of truth that seems to be haunting the voluntary carbon credit exchange. The truth is, carbon credits are not tangible assets; yet, they have been turned into investment hype lately thanks to attention from the media and advertising campaigns. The international community, although in its fair to capture the affair of perilous carbon emissions seriously enough to capture action, might be adding fuel to the fire with constantly changing legislation, regulations, rates and action plans. And where there’s fire, there is a viable possibility that someone might get burnt.
