The Zadroga Act reopens the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund (VCF) that was started in 2001 and lasted until 2003. The VCF provided compensation to eligible individuals who were physically injured or personal representatives of those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11. The Zadroga Act expands the scope of the original VCF to allow more individuals to obtain compensation.
