The Hedge Fund/SRI stand-off: Is Socially Responsible Investing more than a fad? SRI might have looked like a “flavor of the month” when it first appeared on the financial scene in 1990, however instead of disappearing, its popularity has increased year-over-year. Pension funds, insurance companies and high net worth individuals have led the path however thus far hedge funds have been reticent. Will they eventually come encircling?
