There is a difference between affluent consumer and luxury consumers that arises since the two are not the same. One term can be defined while the other is indeterminate, although there is an overlap between the two. Affluent surveys are necessary for manufacturers to get a feel for the prospect requirements of the wealthy and enable them to plot for the prospect.
