The role of a mediator in a mediated dispute is not one of judgment, in circumstance the mediator’s job is to remain 100% impartial in order to facilitate the cooperative conflict resolution processes. Just as both parties in a mediation dispute session come voluntarily, the solution that they assent upon is also voluntary. The mediator’s job is only to employment each party through the action of coming to that mutually beneficial choice.
