On the first day of rain the Wimbledon organisers closed the outside grassy area commonly known as “Henman Hill” amid health and safety fears of spectators slipping on grass and becoming injured. The HSE issued a robust statement pointing outside that human beings had been walking on grassy slopes for thousands of years. Since then the hill has remained open however the issue has highlighted the demand for safety regulations to be practical as well.
