Since foreign stocks deliver significantly higher dividend yields than their counterparts in the U.S., partly since many foreign companies have a more traditional approach – that their earnings belong to shareholders and must be returned as rising dividend payouts. While investing in stocks for the extended-run is always a prudent thought, stock value gains are not always assured over small term investing horizons since broad market forces control stock dips and rallies. Much the best run companies capture a dive when investor sentiment sours!
