If you commence to really gaze at all of your investing options and you commence collecting advice, it would not be extended before you ran into an investment professional who touts the benefits of a “public, all-cash, non-traded REIT.” Your first response might be, “What’s the ticker symbol?” Since they have no ticker symbols, your following conversation would probably consist of a description of what an “alternative” investment is and how, although there is a share value, it can’t be found on an exchange.
